Provide tax advisory, planning and research for new or developing businesses, as well as tax advisory for existing businesses, within CA-CIB Americas. As needed, assist in the top review of CA-CIB Americas tax compliance filings and manage on-going tax projects.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support CACIB Americas’ business development efforts by providing (or coordinating with external advisors) technical tax advice to the Business Lines and Support Functions within the CACIB Americas region.
· Quantify the impact of business development efforts on the tax position and effective tax rate of the entity(s) that will conduct the new activity.
· Participate and prepare US tax opinions in connection with all CTC / NAP / NOP / ORA workflows.
· Provide technical tax support to NY Business Lines, Operations and Client on Boarding teams, as well as Paris Business Lines and Tax team in connection with US Documentation, Withholding and Information Reporting requirements, including FATCA.
· As needed, provide technical tax support and analyses for current tax return positions.
· Perform a top level review of selected US income tax returns for purposes of ensuring consistency with technical advice previously provided as well as to identify issues arising from changes in tax law, regulations, official guidance as well as industry practices.
Salary Range: $180k-220k
CPA license and/or Accounting undergraduate degree and graduate degree with specialization in Taxation.
At least 10 to 15 years private/public experience in financial services industry, with demonstrated working knowledge of inbound US tax issues.
