Job summary

The London Credit Middle Office analyst will assists the team in the execution of control and support functions for our Global Markets Division trading desks. The team’s main responsibility is to ensure the timeliness of trade capture, amendment, cancellation, validation, deal flow and life cycle events in Front Office systems.

In a dynamic and International environment, you will take in charge the control and support functions of the operations initiated by the London Credit Trading, from the negotiation and recording of the transactions. Your role will be to facilitate and to smooth the processing of the operations in the processing chains by ensuring an effective and relevant support to Front Office based in London.

The Credit Middle Office acts as a support and control function for the activities managed in London by the Credit Market Business Line who works with financial products such as Bonds, CDS, CDS Indices; Synthetic and Cash CDOs,  Swaps, FRAs and Strips.

Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the proper booking of the transactions. You will contribute to the development of a reliable and effective first level of control function of the perimeter you will take in charge. You will also have the opportunity to participate in various projects related to client business development, to optimize secure transactions and provide control of risks.

You will also participate to business projects such as new markets development or new products, new regulations and market rules.

Internally Middle Office Support Credit assist the various trading desks in booking issues providing front line support.

Key Responsibilities (in order of priority)
Define duties / activities in detail under each point (e.g. Volumes, frequency etc.)
As a member of the Middle Office Credit Trade Support team you will be responsible for:

Control:
·       Trade validation in FO systems (1st level of control)
·       Bond life cycle management. STP failure, corporate action monitoring, bookings and book transfers
·       Work with trading and back office to resolve settlement issues in a timely manner
·       CDS & Indices: Control of New Trades and Unwinds booking plus follow up. CDS booking with failure
·       Swaps: Control of New Trades and Unwinds booking plus follow up. Swap booking with failure
·       Novation and compression control for CDS and Swaps
·       Ownership of CDS compressions in booking systems
·       Funding/re-financing: calculation and booking in FO systems
·       Monitoring of STP flows, failure investigation and follow-up. Resolution with IT and FO business lines
