Job Spec – Associate or Vice President, Real Estate & Lodging Group
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- Credit analysis for Commercial Real Estate structured transactions and for a portfolio of customers and prospects of the Real Estate, Lodging & Gaming Group. The position will perform tasks necessary for securing credit approvals, documentation review, and administration of all credit exposures (single asset financings, portfolio financings, corporate financings and other derivatives/structured deals).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing credit applications and related materials for new deals, amendment and waiver requests, as well as responding to questions from the credit department;
- Perform industry analysis, competitive analysis and an assessment of relevant risk factors to be provided for the transaction under consideration;
- Financial modeling (including use of Argus and internal models);
- Analyzing and condensing available historical, financial and other information on clients, including cash flow projections;
- Monitoring credit exposures and covenant compliance, and preparation of Annual Reviews, Portfolio Reviews and other credit reports, as needed;
- Reviewing legal documentation and liaising with external and internal counsel;
- Participating in client calls, marketing pitches, property tours and bank meetings;
- Assisting the Distribution and Asset Rotation Group with their loan syndication activities;
- Coordinating actions with the various Bank departments on all matters concerning the servicing of accounts and credit authorizations

Supplementary Information
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS degree in Finance or related field
- 3-5 years of directly related Real Estate experience across multiple property types (lending experience a plus and hotel experience a plus)
- Strong financial modeling skills (including Argus and Excel)
- Ability to analyze borrower and guarantor level financial statements
- Working knowledge of banking systems (e.g., credit, profitability, etc.)
- Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple transactions concurrently
- Strong team player with positive attitude and the ability to work independently
- Candidate will not now or in the future, require Visa sponsorship to work in the US
- Candidate is eligible to work in the US for any employer
