Job summary

Join the UK Global Markets Division (GMD) in London, where you will play a pivotal role in directly supporting the Chief Operating Officer for GMD, UK. This position offers the opportunity to engage deeply with both strategic and operational aspects of the division, contributing to governance, risk management, and operational efficiency. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, and a good understanding of international capital markets.

 

Key Responsibilities are, and are not limited to:

 

Senior Manager Regime (SMR):

  • Manage the SMR Dashboard, liaising with Support Functions for various reports and responding to user queries
  • Collaborate with the IT development team to propose and implement dashboard improvements

Governance:

  • Prepare for various committee meetings including attendance, support documents, minutes, and logging decisions
  • Design and utilize dashboards to monitor risks, actions, and performance
  • Support the design and implementation of the business strategy for the UK in alignment with the global strategy for GMD

Delegation and Oversight:

  • Document and update various delegations and implement oversight mechanisms

Risks and Controls:

  • Monitor risks and ensure proper escalation processes are in place.
    Help design, implement, and document the 3 Lines of Defense (LOD) model for the Senior Manager
  • Ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date

People and Culture:

  • Prepare communications from the Senior Manager including emails, support documents for presentations, and town halls
  • Maintain up-to-date organisation charts

Technology & Operations:

  • Facilitate interactions with IT and Operations, ensuring effective communication and escalation processes

Experience
