Job summary

Join our dynamic team as a Counterparty Risk Intern, primarily responsible for monitoring credit risk exposures on commercial facilities and Foreign Exchange (FX) capital markets trades in the UK. This role is crucial in supporting the credit risk process, including reporting for Senior Management and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

 

  • Run daily controls on specific Capital Market and Financing activities
    Ensure that Give Up relationships are correctly set up in risk systems and monitor any amendments
  • Follow-up on Credit Risk limits for FX E-Platforms (EBS, Reuters, 360T, etc.)
  • Oversee FX Give Up breaches and report discrepancies
  • Participate in data analysis and collaborate on projects related to Capital Market and Financing Activities

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Graduated within the past 18 months and with a 2:1 or equivalent

Experience

• Strong knowledge of Capital Market products.
• Knowledge in Counterparty risk controls on capital market activities

Required skills

• Effective communication skills and the ability to produce optimized, timely reports.
• Capacity to prepare concise and high-quality presentations.
• Excellent attention to detail and good teamwork skills.

Technical skills required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data visualisation tools like PowerBI
