Job summary

Summary

The CACIB Sustainable Investment Banking has a unique position within the bank: the team is responsible for leading financial products and solutions including Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) features. 

The ideal candidate should complete the graduation requirement by June 2026 and is available to start the position from July 2026 onwards. Trainee program is one year to begin with and possible for extension up to 2 years in total, subject to performance and business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the sustainable and green finance market trends and in charge of maintaining updated presentation templates

  • Supporting the team to prepare discussions materials for potential transactions

  • Participating in the execution of mandated transactions (documents preparation, investor presentation, reporting, internal record logging, etc.)

  • Assistance the team in all other regular tasks including newsletter, data crunching, research on innovative topics and trends etc.

In accordance with the Mandatory Reference Checking (MRC) Scheme implemented by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), a successful candidate for an In-Scope Position who has held a position with an In-Scope Institution in the past 7 years will be subject to a mandatory reference check. Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Master or Bachelor degree holders, with strong academic background with preference in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Science or Engineering, Environmental Management / Engineering with less than 12 months’ full time experience

Level of minimal experience

0-2 years

Experience

  • Prior experience in sustainability and/or global financial markets will be an advantage

Required skills

  • Self-motivated and detail-minded with a strong sense of ethics, integrity, commitment and responsibility
  • Responsible, self-initiative, disciplined, attentive to detail, team-player

Technical skills required

  • Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with ability to provide analysis and solutions

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AI tools and other PC applications

Languages

Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese; Korean /other APAC language capabilities is a plus
