The Canada Branch has offices in Montreal and Toronto providing financial services to Canadian Financial Institutions, Banks, Pension Funds & SSA and to large Canadian headquartered international corporations.

 

Crédit Agricole Services & Operations is hosting a part of all Crédit Agricole CIB’s support functions, from KYC, Back Offices, Risk, IT, Legal or Finance supporting our growing operations in the Americas and complementing our European and Asian operations platforms in a “follow the sun” approach.

Global Markets Junior Associate/Counsel to provide documentation support to the range of business lines and products that comprise CA-CIB’s global markets activities with a focus on its derivatives, repo and securities lending activities.

 


Key responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing, preparing, and negotiating various agreements and documents relating to capital markets transactions focused primarily on derivatives, repo and securities lending, including amendments to existing agreements with asset managers.
  • Prepare and contribute to numerous internal reports and systems relating to the management of legal risk.
  • Participate in training and skill development on market and legal developments affecting covered businesses and products
  • Uphold CA-CIB’s codes of ethics, culture and conduct in all matters, including with respect to matters of diversity and inclusion and the identification and escalation of financial crimes risks.

 

Management and Reporting

  • Reports to the Head of Legal (Canada) and the Product Head of Master Agreements Global Markets Legal Americas in New York.
  • Will act under the supervision of licensed lawyers in the bank’s Montreal and New York office.
