Job summary
The role of the Corporate Banker is to lead, develop and coordinate the Bank’s relationship with the Local corporate clients (LCC) across India.
Business Development – to formulate commercial strategies for LCC and achieve preset business plans.
Relationship Management - to establish relationship with CFO’s and Treasurers (and their teams) of clients and prospects to ensure long term profitable relationship and strategic dialogue.
Risk Management – to act as the first level for risk management and take steps to mitigate any evolving risk scenarios.
Main responsibilities
Work closely with the Head-Corporate Coverage in originating prospects and marketing existing clients (Business Development). Formulate and implement the client wise commercial strategies and coordinate the business development across CACIB’s international network. Establish and foster strong relationship with internal stake holders such as RPC, product and business lines. Work with and assist international colleagues in establishing relationship, facilities and documentation for client’s subsidiaries outside India. Establish and maintain senior level contact within the client organizations. Primary person responsible for ensuring compliance with KYC, financial security, regulatory, legal norms across the network for the clients.
Main duties:
To assist in leading the business development efforts with clients and prospects. To identify all potential opportunities for the bank and ensure cross-sell of products including GMD, ITB, DCM, GIB, SFI etc. Regular Market Information on Issuers, prospects and existing clients to identify opportunities and convert them into deals. To ensure effective conversion of prospects into clients.
Secondary duties:
To ensure proactive control over compliance with internal audit and regulatory audit recommendation. To ensure timely and good quality submission of proposals to the credit chain. To monitor allocated accounts for overdues etc. and provide inputs wherever required to the India management to enable the bank to take proactive action.
