Summary
Assist the Manager of Financial Accounting in monitoring the period end closing work and HO reporting. Also responsible for the reconciliation of financial results between financial accounting and that declared by Market Risk department. Assist in preparing ALM committee reports and appraise the key data.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the month-end closing process of CACIB HK Branch, including accounting control checks and Account Ownership processes, as well as reasonableness of the financial records, preparing end of month adjustments, etc. Responsible for PL reconciliation by desks (or profit centres) between Finance and Risk data (covering FX positions and cash flows). Take charge of the HO reporting of one local subsidiary company following the HO guideline, as well as financials of remaining local subsidiary companies. Preparation of ALM related reports. Assist and perform any ad hoc requests assigned by the Manager relating to Financial Control.

Market Risk / Market Activity Monitoring – for P&L recon
ALM Coordination Asia and / or Treasury – ALM related matters

Academic qualification / Speciality
University degree holder with professional accounting qualification or Bachelor degree in Accounting / Financial Management
Level of minimal experience

Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in financial control function gained within banking or financial institution
Required skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a dynamic and evolving environment
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, attentive to details and hardworking with a strong sense of commitment and responsibility
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access, Word, PowerPoint and other PC applications
Technical skills required
Knowledge in respect of capital market products accounting and ALM matters would be an advantage
