Summary

 

Responsible for the day-to-day back office support of trading activities executed by CA Securities, CACIB NY branch,our affiliates and clients. Settlement activities of all US TSY transactions. Reconciliation of trading activities

 

Key Responsibilities

 

TRADE PROCESSING- PROCESSING OF CASH TRADES (BUYS/SELLS) AND REPO TRANSACTIONS CLEARING THROUGH THE BNY BDC FED WIRE SYSTEM. MUST HAVE THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF THE BNY PROCESSING SYSTEM FOR FED WIRE CLEARANCE (BONY BDC PLATFORM).

 

TRI-PARTY: PROCESSING AND FULL KNOWLEDGE OF TRI-PARTY ALLOCATIONS PROCESS UTILIZING THE BANK OF NEW YORK ACCESSEDGE SYSTEM.

 

PAIR-OFFS: MONITORING AND PROCESSING OF CUSTOMER PAIR-OFFS/REPRICINGS, INCLUDING CANCELLATION OF TRADES TRANSMITTED TO BNY TO AFFECT PAIR-OFF WIRE PAYMENT.

 

SYSTEMS: KNOWLEDGE OF ALL BONY BDC & ACCESSEDGE FUNCTIONALITIES –TRADE MATCHING, ALLOCATION OF TRIPARTY SHELLS, INCLUDING THE TRANSMISSION MODES, POSITION SCREENS, PENDING TRADES, ACK/NAK, RDARS, CASH SCREENS.

 

INTERACTION: HIGH VOLUME PROCESSING AND KNOWLEDGE OF FED WIRE DEADLINES; CONSTANT INTERACTION WITH MIDDLE OFFICE, TRADING, SALES AND TREASURY REPO DESK.

 

RECONCILIATION: INTRADAY AND END OF DAY BALANCING OF ACTIVITY CLEARED AT BNY THAT WAS PROCESSED ON PHASE3 SYSTEM TO ENSURE BALANCING OF POSITIONS AND CASH. PROCESS JOURNAL ENTRIES AND CASH MOVEMENTS ON PHASE3.

 

FICC- KNOWLEDGE OF FICC PROCESSING, INCLUDING TRADES NETTED AND BALANCE ORDER FAILS WITH THE CLEARINGHOUSE.

 

CASH MANAGEMENT- DAILY FUNDING OF OUR DEPOSITORY ACCOUNTS- DTCC, BANK OF NEW YORK, EUROCLEAR. COMMUNICATION WITH NY TREASURY TEAMS ON FUNDING NEEDS. COMMUNICATION WITH PARIS TREASURY ON FUNDING OF PARIS ACTIVITIES THAT CLEAR THROUGH CAS & CACIB NY BRANCH.

 

Secondary Duties:

Assist the area when called upon for the other aspects of the department and operation
Cross-training to assist department members
 

Management and Reporting

 

·         Reporting to management of positions in inventory and operational suspense account.

·         Daily reporting of open trades and unmatched trades to escalate for timely settlement.

Candidate criteria

Academic qualification / Speciality

Required 

  • 5 or more years’ experience relating to domestic trade FED settlement
  • Must be a self-starter, with excellent problem solving skills and be able to work under pressure
  • Must possess strong written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and easily
  • Ability to analyze and summarize
  • Rigour and sense of organization
  • Apprehension of results and priorities
  • Relationship management/Commercial sense
