Job summary
Summary of the position
The Head of IGE Methods and Support – Americas is a key role of the IGE Americas Leadership Team, responsible for the maintenance of regional Internal Audit procedures, execution of the annual Internal Quality Assessment against IIA standards and Audit Inspection Business Line (AIBL) methodology. He/She provides regular guidance and executes training for regional auditors, facilitates formal training, and consolidates internal audit reporting for submission to relevant committees. He/She also acts as a conduit between Head Office Methods and Support and the regional audit team by providing updates and leading implementations of change as directed by the Head Office IGE Head of Methods and Support.
The Head of IGE Methods and Support – Americas also acts as the de facto Chief of Staff for IGE Americas, assisting with on and off-boarding of team members including system access, coordinating office space for visitors.
Key Responsibilities
I – Policies and procedures
- Maintain AIBL US corpus of procedures, including periodic updates to adhere to policy update schedule
II – Implementation of IGE permanent control set-up and quality assurance program within the Americas hub
- Formalize and update annually IGE US operational risk mapping (RCSA) based on the standard kit provided by Head Office
- Execute IGE annual control plan in the Americas hub, including CUSO IGL audit coverage. Perform the controls that are allocated to him/her in the defined timeframe. Monitor and test that the controls allocated to other IGE US staff are performed adequately and within the defined methodology guidelines. Report the results of the controls to IGE Methods and Support team in Paris and to the relevant committees in the US.
- Follow-up the proper implementation of IGE Americas action plans and recommendations
- Perform annually an internal quality assurance review, including CUSO IGL audit coverage
- Assist the Head of IGE Americas Hub in the preparation of any external quality assurance reviews
III – Audit Risk assessment and audit risk mapping
- Assist in the update the annual Audit Universe reconciliation and risk assessment
- Assist in the preparation of the annual Americas audit plan, including quality review against criteria
IV - Reporting
- Prepare dashboards and presentation to Americas governance bodies, IGE Management or AIBL
V – Knowledge Management
- Coordinate the knowledge management process in the US: creation of a library of methodological memos/audit guides, collection/inventory and dissemination of useful information collected during audit assignments, contribution to TIGER (IGE intranet)
- Assist IGE Methods and Support team in the implementation of the global training plan in the US
Salary:
$185,000 to $225,000

Role specific requirements

Minimal education level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic qualification / Speciality
- Bachelor or Masters’ degree in accounting, business, finance, engineering, economics or related field (or relevant experience)
- Certification (e.g. CIA, CFA, CPA,)
Experience
- 6 to 10 years of experience in audit or relevant control environment
- Strong knowledge of IIA standards and SR 13-1 requirements for US Financial Services Institutions
