Job summary
Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CA-CIB) is seeking a Director-level Originator to join its International Trade & Transaction Banking (ITB) team in New York. ITB is one of CACIB's core global business lines, combining export finance, structured trade finance, working capital (receivables financing, supply chain finance), and transaction banking under a single integrated platform that serves multinational corporates, financial institutions, and public-sector entities across the Americas and beyond.
This is a senior, client-facing origination role responsible for generating, structuring, and executing trade and export finance mandates across CACIB's North American client base. The Director leverages deep product knowledge and relationship management expertise to serve as both an expert banker and an advisor who provides customized financing solutions to address clients' trade finance, working capital and strategic needs.
The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of originating complex transactions — including ECA-backed structures, trade finance, supply chain finance programs, receivables purchase, structured commodity finance and will collaborate seamlessly with CACIB's global ITB hubs, coverage bankers, credit, legal, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead origination of transactions across CACIB's corporate client base, covering investment-grade and select sub-investment-grade clients across the Industrial and Manufacturing sectors.
• Develop and execute commercial plans, targeted pitches, and RFI/RFP responses designed to create C-suite level engagement; analyze clients' financial strategies, trade flows, working capital cycles, and supply chain structures to identify and present bespoke ITB solutions.
• Proactively prospect new clients in liaison with the Coverage team and deepen existing relationships to grow the team's pipeline of mandates and overall NBI contribution.
• Maintain and expand a strong market network; represent CACIB ITB at client meetings, industry forums (GTR, ICC, BAFT), and trade finance conferences to build the bank's origination franchise in North America.
• Coordinate with CACIB's global ITB’s hubs in Paris, London, Hong Kong, Singapore etc… to ensure coherent multi-geography client coverage and to leverage the bank's full international footprint in cross-border mandates.
• Act as advisor and primary point of contact for clients throughout their trade finance lifecycle — from initial structuring dialogue through implementation, monitoring, and renewal.
• Structure and execute a wide range of ITB products, including: ECA-backed export finance loans letters of credit, standby LCs, performance bonds; supply chain finance programs, receivables finance, inventory finance.
• Prepare and review term sheets, commitment letters and marketing materials
Salary: $230 - $260K
