Summary
Responsible for supporting the senior members of the Project Finance Debt Distribution team, as well as the Global Sector Coordinators (“GSC”) in originating, pricing, structuring and syndicating structured loans and private placements in close collaboration with SFI. Sector scope includes Infrastructure, Power & Utilities, Industry & Resources, Rail, Telecoms (for Digital Infrastructure). Candidate must have strong work ethos, high level of motivation, strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn and grow by taking responsibilities. Candidate will be joining a collaborative and supportive environment, but with high volume of deal flow and deliverables under pressurized timetable. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and be organized on multiple work-streams.
Key Responsibilities
1. To interact closely, in coordination with and/or support of the senior members of the team, with the investor base, CACIB's origination teams and the rest of the debt distribution team in order to i) support origination activities of SFI, Senior bankers and other metiers, where relevant/ if needed; ii) assure CACIB's PF loan and PP transactions are structured and priced to sell into the PF investor market, and ii) syndicate/distribute in primary/secondary market PF transactions originated by the bank, plus structured Private Placements whether in the form of loans or private bonds / notes in the relevant sectors.
· Coordinate with the deal teams and the other distribution team members from the earliest stage of transactions and contribute views on pricing, terms and other conditions;
· Distribute CACIB’s assets in the primary and secondary markets;
· Interact with the assigned coverage investor community though soundings and general market discussions to understand market specifics, liquidity available for and likely market reaction to deals CACIB may arrange or participate in;
· Help prepare and attend pitch meetings with sponsors and clients;
· Regular calls and visits to assigned coverage investors and banks (participants and/or arrangers) to keep CACIB’s knowledge of their investment criteria updated through call reports, and investigate secondary trade opportunities with them;
· Monitor and report on assigned coverage market trends and developments;
· Production of DOD Opinions, liquidity analysis, comparables, invitation letters, status reports, fee schedules, press releases and closing memos;
· Arrange bank meetings;
· Prepare quarterly market updates;
· Liaise with internal DOD contacts to ensure new transactions are registered for Bookrunner League Table credit and where appropriate communicate with the specialist technical press to optimise reporting of market sentiment.
ESSENTIAL:
Bachelor Degree or BSc Degree or equivalent from top university
