Job summary

 

Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank is seeking to fill an associate position for its Financial Steering and ALM group in Montreal. The candidate will hold an undergraduate or graduate degree in business/finance, engineering, or economics. Qualified applicants should have knowledge of credit analysis in commercial and investment banking. An understanding on subject related to ALM, Credit Portfolio Management, and Risk Management; Basel regulation is a plus.

 

 

The Associate’s main responsibilities and tasks consist of:

(1)   Support management of the Business Pipeline Committee;

(2)   Provide transaction/relationship optimization advice to front-offices;

(3)   Help the team to perform independent profitability and strategic analysis of new deals coming to the bank books;

(4)   Assist in coordination of the secondary loan sales advisory process.

 

 

The position involves coordination and cross-training with other members of the Financial Steering and ALM team (ALM, PIP, and the Financial Analysis team) in NY and worldwide, as well as Front Office teams, Risk and IT departments in the North America.

 

 

The successful candidate must have the ability to work independently, though in a team environment. Our entrepreneurial environment favors those that "think out of the box," are creative, and take "ownership" of projects.

 

 

 

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

 

- Responsibility for the organization of the Business Pipeline committee including ensuring scheduling of agenda, running actual meeting and crafting / distributing minutes as well as providing any applicable follow-up information.

- Support FO in better understanding capital, liquidity, EVA from an Economic and/or Regulatory perspective, provide advice on term-sheet/structure and how to optimize transaction/relationship.

 

- Function as interface among the various front offices and PIP on Business Pipeline Committee (BPC). Ensure proper maintenance of data in BPC related systems.
